Having a new baby is hard - even with your shelves stocked with onesies, it is hard to imagine the reality of it all. This is a big, new and unknown experience.

  • You may feel unsure and in need of reassurance as you prepare to welcome your baby home. This is normal!
  • There are so many new skills to learn, and it's hard to know whose advice to trust.
  • No matter how much you plan and prepare, learning to care for your unique baby will be a big learning curve. Again, normal!

Emotional support through your first weeks.

It's easy to feel like you're the only new mother to have ever felt this way. I assure you, we all struggle in those first weeks. Having a postpartum doula by your side who can both reassure and guide you is a wise investment in your foundation as a new family.

The moment I met with Leah, it felt like a warm hug was telling me, "everything is going to be okay and you're doing a great job!" She's patient, empathetic, encouraging, very knowledgeable and professional. We chose Leah as our doula as chatting with her was easy and she's very encouraging and understanding. We wanted a kind doula who could help us, as first-time parents, to build our confidence and we definitely got that with Leah. She would sit with me while breastfeeding, help us figure out burping techniques that worked for our baby, and answered our questions without judgement. The nights that Leah came, it helped me with my anxiety as I knew our baby was well taken cared of so I could mentally "check out" and sleep well. I highly recommend Leah during this new chapter in our lives and I felt like she was part of the family!

Leah was a great source of information and comfort. We worked with her as a postpartum doula. She was wonderful helping take care of our newborn so we could get some rest and kept our house tidy, too. Leah had some helpful suggestions to help us set up our home before bringing baby home to make the transition easier. Would highly recommend working with her!

My family hired Leah for postpartum care in the summer of 2023 to help after the birth of our twin girls. From the start, Leah was absolutely amazing. She handled our girls with care and love, and approached us with empathy and compassion. She also provided knowledge, support, and guidance as we began our parenting journey and helped me feel confident as a new mother. We always looked forward to the days when Leah would join us and we were so sad when our time with her ended! I would hire Leah again in an instant and feel so lucky to have found her.

Having Leah as our private childbirth teacher and postpartum doula is the best decision we've made in preparing and caring for our first child! She has everything we looked for in getting us ready for the birth and helped us feeling confident in newborn caring. I'd hire Leah again and again! Leah is a well of knowledge when it comes to birth and caring for babies - she comes to our home to give the private childbirth class, in this private session format it allows us to ask direct questions; my husband and my mom were both in the class with me, Leah was able to cater the content to different roles in the household with the focus on the birthing mother. Leah is always extra prepared for the classes from various engaging activities to catered content. During the preparation for birth, we constantly reached out to Leah for suggestions and ideas. For the postpartum phase, Leah came to our home to educate us in various baby caring tasks/details per our requests; we did some lactation sessions, a lot of Q&As, and gave baby the first sponge bath! Leah's patient, steady, and very encouraging throughout the process, leaving us feel empowered to care for the baby after she leaves. She's super detailed, wearing masks to the postpartum sessions as the newborn is not vaccinated yet. She's super communicative - reply to my questions over email and text as things come up. Always super encouraging and send me the right direction. We wouldn't be able to be at such a fine place this early in the newborn stage if it's not Leah. I'd recommend Leah to anyone who's looking for childbirthing class and/or postpartum doula!
